What is Search Engine Optimization?

SEO is a contraction for search engine optimization /search engine optimizer. You should be aware of the possible advantages as well as the damage that a careless SEO can do to a website. SEO is a technique employed to increase the number of visitors to a website by obtaining a good position in the Search Engine Rank Page (SERP) by Free OST (Organic Search Traffic) — including Google, Bing, Yahoo, and other search engines.

Types of SEO:

  • Internal Linking: Linking from one page to another page within the website is very important.
  • Content Optimization: Optimize website content relevant to your business keywords.
  • Remove Hidden Content: Remove hidden content or HTML code from a web page as it is considered as a black hat in SEO techniques.
2. Off Page SEO

Off-page SEO is the second important factor in SEO for increasing the visibility of your website’s pages. Here are a few Off Page SEO methods:

  • Directory Submission: The first popular method in Off Page for building quality backlinks, where a few of the directories approve immediately and this method helps in gaining good ranks in SERP.
  • Social Bookmarking Submission: The second most popular method in Off-Page SEO for link-building tricks. Social Bookmarking Websites approve the link immediately upon submission.
  • Search Engine Submission: Submit website URLs across different search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing, Yandex, etc., for crawling webpages.

  • Schema Mark-up: Implement schema mark-up structure tag for local businesses, social profiles, etc.
  • Create an HTML Sitemap: Create both HTML and XML site maps and upload them into the website root directory.
  • Website Architecture: The site architecture should support all SEO factors. (E.g. navigation, loading time, avoid flash).
  • Webpage Size: Ensure that the size of each web page is less than 2MB.
  • Minify JavaScript and CSS: Avoid internal CSS and internal JavaScript methods. Keep all CSS and JavaScript code in external files.
